The reddish thumb

Isabella has refused to use soothers since she was three months old. When I put a soother into her mouth, she takes it away and sucks her thumb instead. Actually, she doesn't suck her thumb all the time. She just sucks it when she feels sleepy or when her gum feels itchy but it has already made her thumb red and dry.

After we forced her to stop sucking her thumb, she cried loudly, then, fell asleep.

In order to stop her, I have to cover her fingers every night.
