Don't decline

I was reminded by Richard that despite I am now a housewife, the decline of my vision and mind should be prevented (i.e. not to be too housewife, haha). He told me not to read too many novels but books about philosophy, end the phone calls when someone keeps telling me about the prices of goods in supermarket and stores. Yes, yes, I entirely agree with him.

Don't worry. I am still sensible and rational. I like reading to broaden my horizon, but I think I won't give up the novels. I have a list of books that I am going to read such as Dracula, The professor, Great Expectation, A Christmas Carol... After reading them, I will squeeze some time to read some books about philosophy. I think Susanna and Stanley can give me some recommendations. Philosophy...Philosophy... Other than novels, can I read something about History?
