Is it too late to like Danny Chan?

One day, Richard showed me a documentary about Danny Chan on Youtube. Before that, I knew who Danny Chan was and I knew some of his popular songs but I didn't really listen to them seriously when I was young. After reading that documentary, I have watched more music videos of him and I have tried to pay more attention while listening to his songs. And I found that, he was a glamorous man. He not only got a charming appearence, but also an appealing voice. It's a shame that I was too young to understand those touching songs when he was alive.

After knowing his story, after reading the lyrics of his songs and after watching his live performances, I started to pity him. He was so successful, he was so popular that he ought to be very happy and full of sense of achievement. But he wasn't. He was sad and lack of confidence. I kept asking, 'What happened to him?', 'Why did he always get some tear around his eyes while singing his songs during his last period?, 'Why was he so sad?' I don't think he committed suicide as I think he was not brave enough to do this ( In the documentary, his friend said he was even not brave enough to date a girl that he liked so I draw this inference). Then, I kept thinking what if he had a good relationship with someone. Would he be happier and stop drinking so much wine?

By the way, it is impossible to understand why Richard can remember so many things in the past including both political and amusement news. He could nearly answer every question that I asked about the past events. For example, he can tell me the stories of the contemporary Chinese history and he can tell me the story about Danny Chan too. Maybe it's time for me to do some introspection to find out why my brain is so hollow about everything in the past.
