Isabella is three-month-old already. In order to make my summer holiday more interesting and meaningful, I bought many books for her in the book fair as babies can learn language effectively at the age of 0 to 3. I believe that babies can be more intelligent when we provide them more opportunities to read and listen at the early stage so I bought her a set of Mandarin CD and the English learning materials from Disney as well. The quality of the English books in the book fair was good but I could not choose even one Chinese book for Isabella as many of them included Taiwan phonetic transcription or printed bilingually. I was afraid that both of them would confuse Isabella and hinder her learning.
Before I went to the book fair I wanted to buy Isabella s some Chinese books of Aesop's Fables and Anderson's Tales. But finally I could not find any with good quality and I only saw some small Aesop's Fables in two booths. Is Aesop's Fables unpopular now?
