Isabella's skin has turned reddish because of eczema recently and I took her to see the doctor at Cityone today. That doctor is a popular speicalist in paediatrics but proud.
After I told the doctor that Isabella saw another doctor before,
he said, 'She will recover completely after applying my ointment.'
Then, when I told him Richard and I got asthma when we were young,
he asked, 'Did any doctor guarantee you that your daughter will not get asthma in the future?'
I answered with a puzzled expression on my face, 'NO. And why do you say so?'
Then he said, 'Because I can give a guarantee of that.'
When I showed an astonished face, he continued, 'I can promise that she will not get asthma if she comes to see me every time she gets a cough and cold. If she can take the medicine that I give her every time, she must get rid of it.'
I know that he is popular as he is always interviewed by press but I think being humble is what he has to learn now. And is affirming the patients that he can prevent them getting a particular disease wise?
