A disaster

A disaster happened two weeks ago. The socket of my room gave out smoke suddenly at midnight. When I wanted to get away from my bed, I found that the floor was wet. Richard switched on the light immediately and saw our flat flooded. Water came from the drainage pipelines and the toilet. Richard was afraid I would slip over on the floor so he asked me to stay on the bed. Then, he called the security guard and knew that the drain outside our block was clogged up. Therefore, we had to call some specialists to make it unobstructed.

Unfortunately, when Richard was removing the water from our flat, the security guard came again and told us the electricity room below was wet and it might explode so that we had to leave our flat immediately until everything was checked. We walked to the main security room in our pajamas at 1: 30 a.m. (It was the first time I went out in pajamas.) We were allowed to go back to our home one and a half hours later. It was an unforgettable night. Richard was poor again because he had to wash and sterilize the floor overnight alone. Me? Ha! Since I am pregnant, I escaped.

The following days, we were very very busy since we had to walk from place to place to find our new flat. We considered living in Tsuen Wan again to make my mother more convenient to look after my baby but finally we rented another flat at Cityone since the rental of flats in Tsuen Wan is unreasonably high and the distance between Tsuen Wan and my school is too long. Luckily, we found a tidy and good conditioned flat at last and we will move next week.
